BT35 Series Explosion-Proof Axial Fan
The BT35-11 explosion-proof axial fan is a derivative of the T35-11 for places with flammable and explosive atmospheres: an aluminium-alloy impeller that cannot strike sparks during operation, a flameproof motor, thirteen impeller sizes with 4 blades, blade angles of 15° to 35°, air volume 826 to 67892 m³/h and total pressure 39 to 474 Pa.
- Flameproof motor
- Aluminium impeller
- 13 sizes
- T35-11 derivative
- Anti-corrosion FT35-11 option
- Motor — flameproof (Ex d) type
- Impeller — aluminium alloy, 4 blades
- Sizes — 13 impeller diameters
- Air volume — 826 to 67892 m³/h
- Total pressure — 39 to 474 Pa
- Ambient temperature — not exceeding 60 °C
Technical data
| Model | BT35-11 explosion-proof axial fan |
|---|---|
| Base series | Derivative of the T35-11 axial fan (developed in China in the 1980s, improved on the 30-11) |
| Impeller | Aluminium alloy, machined to prevent sparks; 4 blades per size |
| Sizes | 13 impeller diameters from small to large |
| Blade angles | 15° / 20° / 25° / 30° / 35° |
| Air volume | 826 – 67892 m³/h |
| Total pressure | 39 – 474 Pa |
| Performance & dimensions | Same as the T35-11 (parameters, overall dimensions and precautions included) |
| Ambient conditions | Non-corrosive gases without conspicuous dust; ambient temperature ≤ 60 °C |
Features
- Explosion-proof construction for places with flammable and explosive atmospheres.
- Impeller machined from aluminium alloy so that no sparks are struck during operation.
- Flameproof (Ex d) motor fitted as standard.
- Direct-coupled drive: the impeller is mounted directly on the motor and turns to the left viewed from the motor end.
- Performance parameters, overall dimensions and installation precautions are identical to the T35-11 series.
- Sister model: the FT35-11 anti-corrosion axial fan in glass-fibre reinforced plastic for corrosive gases.
Installation notes
- Check the fan carefully for damage or deformation before installation; repair any damage properly first.
- Check that all connections are tight and that the clearance between the blades and the casing is uniform — the blades must not touch the casing.
- The weight of the duct connected to the outlet must not be carried by the fan casing; provide separate support.
- An inlet collector must be fitted at the fan air-outlet end, and a protection guard should preferably be installed.
- The fan base must seat naturally flush on the foundation — never hammer it into place. Align the base, add shims, keep it level, then tighten the anchor bolts.
- Carry out a trial run first; the fan may be put into service only after it runs normally.
Where it is used
Ventilation and air exchange in places with flammable and explosive atmospheres — general factories, warehouses, offices and residences, with ambient temperature not exceeding 60 °C and gases free of conspicuous dust. The fans can be installed in series at intervals along a long exhaust duct to raise the duct pressure, and with the casing removed they can be used as free-standing fans.
Need a quotation for the BT35 series?
Tell us the zone, the gas group and the air volume you need, and our engineers will confirm the impeller size (13 sizes available) and prepare the quotation. For corrosive atmospheres ask about the FT35-11 glass-fibre version.
Technical data is reproduced from the manufacturer’s sheet for the T35-11 series. The sheet does not state the gas group or temperature class of the BT35-11 marking; send us your area classification and our engineers will confirm the Ex marking and suitability before you order. Dimensions are in millimetres unless stated otherwise.
