Products: Frequently Asked Questions
What we supply, how customisation works, and how to get a firm quotation.
What product lines does JoeAn supply?
Six connected lines for hazardous areas: explosion-proof LED lighting, explosion-proof electrical apparatus, explosion-proof axial and mine ventilation fans, conduit fittings and cable glands, junction and distribution boxes, plugs and sockets, plus explosion-proof push button control stations and mobile lighting. Because the lines share the same standards and installation logic, a single enquiry can usually be covered by one supplier instead of five.
Do you make customised or OEM versions?
Yes. Custom work covers entry quantity and thread type, housing material, cable lengths, nameplate and branding, and complete assemblies such as a control station built to your schematic. Send the drawing, the required marking and the quantity, and we will confirm what can be produced against the standard as it stands and what would need design work.
How do I request a quotation?
Send the model or a description, the quantity, the hazardous-area classification, the supply voltage and frequency, and, where relevant, the thread standard and IP requirement. Include a photo or drawing of any existing equipment the new part has to match. With those details the quotation covers the correct protection concept and accessories on the first pass, rather than coming back with questions.
