Features
- All-plastic construction — body and diffuser are plastic, which is what makes the lamp suitable for corrosive and frequently washed-down positions where a metal housing would need regular attention.
- One or two tubes — 1×9 W, 2×9 W, 1×18 W or 2×18 W, so the light output can be matched to the space rather than overspecified.
- Gas and dust marking — Ex db eb mb IIC T5 Gb and Ex tb IIIC T95°C Db on the same luminaire.
- Two lengths — a 771 mm and a 1400 mm version, on the same 215 × 130 mm section.
- Emergency version optional — for escape routes and areas where the general lighting may be switched off.
- M20 cable entry — closed with the matching certified gland.
- Supplied with brackets and fixings — as shown in the second photograph.
- AC 220 V / 50 Hz — standard single-phase supply.
Where the BYS is used
- Corrosive atmospheres where a metal housing would corrode, such as chemical and water-treatment areas
- Coastal and offshore installations exposed to salt-laden air
- Wash-down areas, where the luminaire is hosed down as part of the cleaning regime
- Walkways, tunnels and service corridors that need even linear lighting at a low mounting height
- Escape routes, using the optional emergency version
Part of the explosion-proof lighting range, which also covers LED luminaires such as the ZBD154 floodlight and the ZBD124 maintenance-free light.
