Features
- Ex db IIC T6 Gb — flameproof enclosure in gas group IIC, the highest group, with temperature class T6.
- Ex tb IIIC T80°C Db — dust protection by enclosure on the same unit, for conductive dust.
- Audible and visual in one body — the beacon and the sounder are one certified unit, so there is one mounting point and one entry instead of two devices.
- 150 flashes / min — a fast enough flash rate to read as a warning rather than as a status lamp.
- Two body types drawn — 205 mm high, φ177 mm and φ160 mm across; one drawing includes the sounder, the other shows the protected globe alone. Tell us which you need when ordering.
- G3/4" cable entry — closed with the matching certified gland.
- AC 220 V / 50 Hz — standard single-phase supply, so it can be fed from the same local circuit as the surrounding lighting.
- Cast body with a protected globe — the beacon sits behind a guard, as shown in the specification sheet drawing.
Where the BBJ is used
- Perimeter and gate alarm points on tank farms, loading areas and storage yards
- Start, stop and fault indication on pump and compressor skids
- Warning at the entrance to a classified area, where a visitor or a contractor has to be told before entering
- Workshops, stores and loading bays where an alarm has to carry over background noise
- Anywhere the sounder and the beacon have to be one certified device rather than two separate fittings
Listed on the explosion-proof lighting range alongside the luminaires — for platform and walkway lighting see the ZBD119 platform light. Where the alarm has to be wired into distribution or control gear, the explosion-proof electrical apparatus range covers the boxes and switchgear.
