Why Choose Our Explosion-Proof Equipment Factory
In hazardous environments, you are not just buying hardware — you are investing in safety and compliance. You are choosing a certified manufacturing partner for your long-term success. Here is what you get when you work with us.
Strict Quality Control for Every Explosion-Proof Device
When you invest in explosion-proof equipment, safety and reliability in hazardous environments are paramount — not just on paper. Here is how we make sure every product you receive meets stringent safety standards and eliminates operational risks.

Raw Material & Component Inspection
You start with certified, high-grade materials. All enclosure materials and critical Ex-components are carefully selected and rigorously inspected to meet explosion-proof standards before entering production.

Enclosure Integrity & Machining Control
You get a robust product with precision machining and strict tolerance control for flame paths and joints. This ensures the structural integrity and explosion-proof reliability of the enclosure in volatile areas.

Assembly & Sealing Check
Every system — internal wiring, electrical components and Ex-sealing joints — is checked during assembly. You receive a device that is safely assembled according to international Ex-standards.

Anti-static & Surface Protection
You benefit from specialised coating processes that protect your equipment from severe corrosion and prevent static accumulation, ensuring safe operation in harsh chemical or industrial environments.

Final Safety Testing Before Delivery
Before shipment, your equipment undergoes rigorous electrical, functional and safety testing. You can be confident that it will operate securely and flawlessly once installed.
Every Device, Every Time
From raw castings to the moment your Ex-equipment leaves our facility, every unit passes the same rigorous 5-stage inspection to ensure zero safety risks. No exceptions.
How to Choose the Right Ex-Proof Equipment
Choosing the correct explosion-proof equipment ensures absolute safety, compliance, and prevents catastrophic plant failures. Here is how to select the right specification based on your hazardous area requirements.
Which Ex Zone will the equipment operate in?
The first step is identifying your site classification. Different zones dictate the required level of protection to prevent ignition in explosive atmospheres.
Tip: Always verify the zone classification with your site safety engineer. Installing a lower-rated product is a critical safety hazard.
Zone 1 & Zone 2
Explosive gas atmospheres for petrochemical plants and refineries.
Ex d / Ex e
Zone 21 & Zone 22
Combustible dust environments like flour mills and coal processing.
Ex t
Harsh Marine & Offshore
Highly corrosive environments requiring superior ingress protection.
IP65 / IP66
What are the specific explosive elements?
Choosing the right gas group (IIA, IIB, IIC) and temperature class ensures the equipment will not ignite the surrounding hazardous atmosphere.
Tip: IIC environments (Hydrogen) require the most stringent gap tolerances. It is the safe default if you are unsure of the specific gas.
IIA / IIB
Propane & Ethylene. Most common for general petrochemical facilities.
IIC Gas Group
Hydrogen & Acetylene. Highest gas protection level, covers IIA and IIB.
Combustible Dust
For conductive and non-conductive dust (IIIA, IIIB, IIIC).
Which material withstands your environment?
The enclosure must survive not just the internal explosion pressure, but the external corrosive elements of your specific industrial site.
Tip: For offshore platforms, Stainless Steel 316L is non-negotiable despite the higher initial cost.
Copper-free Aluminum
Cost-effective, lightweight, excellent for standard onshore facilities.
Carbon Steel (Welded)
High mechanical strength, ideal for large custom distribution panels.
Stainless Steel 304/316L
Maximum corrosion resistance for marine and severe chemical plants.
What type of Ex equipment do you need?
We manufacture a complete matrix of certified equipment for hazardous locations.
Tip: Consolidating your procurement with a single factory ensures standardization and simplifies your supply chain.

Frequently Asked Questions About Explosion-Proof Products
Everything you need to know before working with us. Click any question to expand the answer.
Are you a factory or trading company?
We are a factory. JoeAn Explosion-Proof Technology Co., Ltd. was founded in 2013 in Wenzhou, Zhejiang, and operates a 12,000 m² manufacturing facility certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. You buy at direct factory price with no middleman markup, and factory visits or third-party audits are welcome.
What certificates do your products have?
Our products carry ATEX certification and are designed and tested to the IEC 60079 series, covering protection concepts Ex d, Ex e, Ex nA and Ex t, with ingress protection up to IP66/IP67 and temperature classes up to T6. ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 system certificates apply across design and manufacture. Certificate copies and type-test records are available on request.
What industries and places are your products used in?
Typical applications include petroleum refineries and drilling platforms, chemical plants, coal mines, pharmaceutical and API workshops, metallurgical plants, breweries, offshore and marine decks, fuel terminals, and other hazardous areas classified for flammable gas, vapour or combustible dust. See our Industries & Applications page for details.
Can I have a sample order?
Yes. Sample orders are supported so you can verify quality and certification before committing to volume. Sample lead time is normally 3–7 working days for standard items, and the sample cost can be deducted from your first bulk order.
Do you accept customized products (OEM/ODM)?
Yes. As the manufacturer we support OEM and ODM projects: rated voltage and frequency, cable gland sizes, material and coating, marking and labelling, and even your own brand. Send us your drawing, specification or a sample, and our engineering team will propose a solution and quotation.
What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
There is no strict MOQ for standard products — we accept trial orders of 1 piece or 1 set. Mixed models can also be combined in one order to help you test the market with a smaller budget.
What is the normal lead time for bulk orders?
Standard items are normally dispatched in 7–20 working days after payment and drawing confirmation; large quantities or customized products typically take 25–45 days. We will confirm the exact schedule in the proforma invoice before you pay.
How do you ship the goods and how long does it take?
We ship worldwide under EXW, FOB or CIF terms from Ningbo or Shanghai port. Small urgent parcels go by international express (3–7 days), standard cargo by sea (7–40 days depending on destination) or by air on request. All products are packed in export-grade wooden cases with shock-proof protection.
How do you ensure the quality of your explosion-proof products?
Every unit passes incoming material verification, flame-path machining inspection, ingress and functional testing, and routine type tests before packing, all under our ISO 9001 quality system with full traceability and records. Our equipment is trusted by Sinopec, CNPC, CNOOC, Mobil and other major operators.
What is your warranty policy?
We provide an 18-month warranty on all explosion-proof products from the date of shipment. Defective parts are replaced free of charge, and spare parts and technical support remain available for the lifetime of the equipment.
What payment terms do you support?
We accept T/T (30% deposit, balance against copy of B/L) for standard orders, and L/C at sight for large projects. Trade terms are EXW, FOB or CIF as you prefer.
Do you provide installation guidance for your equipment?
Yes. Every product ships with an installation manual, dimensional drawings and wiring diagrams; we also provide video guidance and free remote support from our engineers. For larger projects, on-site installation and commissioning supervision can be arranged. More documentation is available in our Technical Guides.
