Main uses and scope of application
The FBDY series mine flameproof press-in contra-rotating axial local ventilation fan is mainly used as a press-in local ventilation fan in underground coal mines containing gas or coal-dust explosion hazards. It is also suitable for metal mines, chemical mines, tunnels and other plants and mines that use fans. The temperature of the conveyed medium must not exceed 40 °C, relative humidity must not exceed 95±3% (at 25 °C), and the medium must be non-corrosive.

Structure and features

- The series consists of an inlet silencer, first-stage main machine, second-stage main machine and outlet silencer. The body and structure are entirely steel-welded; the motor is directly coupled to the impeller for reliable drive, a simple and compact overall structure, sturdiness, safe operation and easy maintenance.
- The drive motor and the fan casing are integrated into one: the motor mounting plate, motor cooling drum and cooling fins are eliminated, making the structure more compact and the flow path smoother — lower noise and higher operating efficiency.
- Designed and manufactured with advanced ternary-flow aerodynamic theory, curved-bent combined orthogonal blades, aerofoil profiles and other advanced technologies — a design at the advanced level at home and abroad.
- Compact structure, low noise, high efficiency, good reverse-air performance, high wind pressure and stable operation in the small-flow region, with a wide high-efficiency range. Depending on the tunneling-face length and different ventilation requirements of the roadway, it can be used as a complete unit or in stages, reducing energy consumption — an ideal machine for long-distance local ventilation in mine tunneling.
- In the FBDY series the first-stage main machine, second-stage main machine and diffuser are all detachable. As the fan is used, the gaps in the acoustic cotton become clogged with coal dust and the cotton loses its silencing effect; the fan can be dismantled and the acoustic cotton replaced, reducing the user’s cost burden.
- An inlet silencer can be fitted as an option, which greatly reduces the noise level.

Need a quotation for the FBDY series?
Tell us the roadway length, the required air volume and the gas conditions of the mine, and our engineers will confirm the size number and motor configuration (2/3/4 motors) and prepare the quotation.
Technical data is reproduced from the manufacturer’s data sheet for the FBDY series. The sheet does not state the gas group or temperature class of the Ex marking; send us your mine’s explosion-protection requirements and our engineers will confirm the certification and suitability before you order.
