These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of joean-ex.com (the “Website”), which is operated by JoeAn Explosion-Proof Technology Co., Ltd. (“JoeAn”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By accessing or using the Website, or by submitting an enquiry through it, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
1. Purpose of the Website
The Website provides information about explosion-proof lighting, electrical apparatus, fans, conduit fittings and flexible conduits that we manufacture, together with general technical guidance on explosion protection. It is intended for business and professional users — engineers, procurement teams, contractors and distributors — and not for consumer use.
Nothing on the Website constitutes engineering, safety or legal advice for a specific installation.
2. Technical information, drawings and data
We work continuously to improve our products. We may change designs, materials, dimensions and specifications without notice. Where a specification must be guaranteed, it must be confirmed in writing in the order confirmation or contract.
3. Your responsibility for selection and compliance
Explosion-protected equipment is only safe when it is correctly selected for the environment it is installed into. You are responsible for:
- Confirming the area classification (zone, gas group and temperature class) of the installation, based on your own site assessment
- Confirming that the equipment you order is suitable for that classification, including the Ex marking, equipment protection level and ambient temperature range
- Confirming that the installation, inspection and maintenance are carried out by competent persons in accordance with the applicable standards and local regulations
- Confirming that the equipment satisfies the certification requirements of the country or region of installation
We are glad to assist with selection and to provide certificates and documentation, but final responsibility for fitness for a particular installation rests with you and your site engineering team.
4. Enquiries and quotations
- Information published on the Website, including any indication of price, is not a binding offer.
- An enquiry submitted through the Website is a request for information or a quotation, not an order.
- Quotations are indicative and valid for the period stated in them. Lead times are estimates given in good faith and may change depending on material availability and production scheduling.
- A contract is formed only when we issue an order confirmation that you accept, or when we otherwise confirm acceptance in writing.
- Order terms, including delivery, payment, inspection and warranty, are governed by the order confirmation or the contract signed by both parties, which prevail over these Terms if they conflict.
5. Intended use and misuse
Our products must be installed, operated and maintained strictly in accordance with the datasheet, nameplate, installation instructions and the applicable standards. Modifying equipment, substituting components, opening flameproof enclosures in a live classified area, or installing equipment outside its marked ratings or ambient range may destroy its explosion protection and can cause death or serious injury. Any such modification or misuse voids our warranty and is outside our responsibility.
6. Intellectual property
All content on the Website — including text, product photographs, technical drawings, logos and the overall design — is owned by us or licensed to us and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and costs arising from your misuse of the Website or of our products, or from your breach of these Terms.
11. Privacy

Disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Website shall be submitted to the competent court at our place of business in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, China. Where the parties have signed a contract containing a dispute-resolution clause, that clause prevails.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
